When I was a kid, the first motorcycle that I was exposed to was my Dad’s ‘74 Laverda 750 SF. He rode that bike until about 1988 when he sold it to guy out in California that took great care of it and may still be riding it today. However, just a few months ago, my parents found another one just like it on craigslist and couldn’t resist picking it up. This one needs a little lovin’, but I love the styling of the badges and gauges. I remember studying the lines of the badges and the letter forms when I was a little kid, but I didn’t know the “language” of design or typography at all. So, it’s kind of cool to be able to see these little things again and know WHY I like them.
